Harold's Restaurant - Gaffney, SC

I woke up this morning in John's childhood friend Brett's house.  John and I were talking about the day and wondering where was a good place to eat.  I looked up Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives site and, having always wanted to try a restaurant, looked up a place close to us and found Harold's.  I then told John that I would love to visit all the restaurants featured on the show and his reaction was "let's do it."

So off we went on this day to Gaffney, SC.  The city was extremely small and this restaurant apparently sits in the center of town.  The biggest thing in Gaffney is "the yellow mall" which is a premire outlet center.  However, I think Harold's should be one of the biggest things in town too.

The restaurant is definitely promoting that they have been on the food network.  There's a huge sign out in the front of the building.

Inside it was very 50's diner style.  I felt I was transported back in time a little bit.  And the prices seemed like they were from 1950 as well with the most expensive item being about $5.  The most famous item on the menu was the chili burger.  It's just that.   Chili with some meatballs thrown in, piled on a sandwich.  It was so good.

Here's some pictures from our trip to Harold's Restaurant.  (http://www.haroldsrestaurant.com/)
