Today we went with our friends Josh and Anna to the Red Lion Pub after a Houston Astros game. (Josh has a board game review website - check it out: http://www.boardgamereviewsbyjosh.com/)
John got the Shepherd's Pie. It was a fun night overall.

Niko Niko's - Houston, TX
On this night we decided to have a little fun with my sister and her boyfriend. We went to Niko Niko's for dinner. John got the Gyro plate and I got the Souzoukakia (Greek meatballs). We also got the Loukoumades that is featured on the show. They are Greek honey balls and they were really good. All the food there was good.
Here are some pictures of our time at Niko Niko's (http://nikonikos.com/):

Kenny and Ziggy's - Houston, TX
After deciding to try about 467 restaurants all over the USA we of course started with our own city.
Tonight we went to Kenny and Ziggy's. They are famous for corned beef sandwiches. It was a good time and the food was good.
Atmosphere: The place was very cute. Red booths and had the whole deli vibe going. It can get loud at times but it's not unbearable or too distracting.
Service: The service was excellent! Our waitress knew everything about the menu as if she had studied it. She always kept our drinks filled and the food came out on time.
Price: I'm not quite sure what makes this place so expensive. Other than they give you a lot of food. I'm not sure how much meat costs but they give you a lot of it here when you order a sandwich. You can see by our pictures that the plate was covered in food. The average price at this restaurant is about $18 for a sandwich. Kind of steep but I think it was worth it.
Food: The food here is really great. You must try the Fried Kreplach! It was featured on the show and it is by far the best thing on the menu. The sandwiches are all very good too. The other thing the show featured was Kasha Varnishkas and I didn't like it. John didn't seem to care for it either. I can see where it would be good to some people though, but we were not those people.
